Links2 vs Linktree: which fits your page?
By Links2 Editorial · Facts checked
Links2 suits a creator who wants one focused page, free themes, and manual control over links and music releases. Linktree is worth considering when you need multiple profiles, audience integrations, or a broader set of selling and marketing tools.
We make Links2. This comparison is our own editorial assessment, based on the current Links2 product and Linktree’s official documentation. The plans overlap, but they do not replace every feature of each other.

These are US-dollar subscription prices for one profile. Annual plans charge for a full year; the monthly equivalent is not a monthly payment option. Taxes, regional prices, promotions, and third-party services can change your total. Confirm the currency and final amount at checkout.

This is a comparison of those requirements, not feature equivalence. Links2’s seven-day Plus trial needs no card and does not charge automatically.

Choose Links2 when the page itself is your priority: a release, a portfolio, or a short set of destinations you already manage elsewhere. Explore Linktree if built-in selling tools, several managed profiles, or native audience integrations are requirements. Check eligibility and fees for any selling features. Links2 is not a replacement for your storefront, ticketing platform, or email sender. Its music workflow needs manually supplied destinations; automatic cross-service matching is currently unavailable. See the music release walkthrough.
Try the same small page in both tools.
- Use the same name, bio, owned image, and three destinations: your main project, a contact or booking page, and a social profile.
- In Links2, choose the freelancer portfolio starter, fill in the guided sections, and publish. In Linktree, add those same destinations from the Links tab and select a design included in the plan you are evaluating.
- Open each public address while signed out, then on a phone. Check labels, images, contact actions, and every destination. A working editor preview alone is not enough.
- Check whether the plan supports your required design, audience export, and analytics history. If a required action prompts an upgrade, include that plan in your cost comparison.

Move your page manually, with a final link check.
- Inventory. Save destination URLs, button text, images you own, active forms, scheduled links, and everywhere you share your current address. Export contacts or analytics your current plan permits before cancelling.
- Rebuild. Create your Links2 page and add the destinations and assets. Reconnect forms through your email platform. Past analytics and subscriber consent do not transfer automatically.
- Publish and verify. Open the new public link signed out and on a phone. Follow every button. If you use a custom subdomain, verify DNS and HTTPS before changing shared links.
- Update shared addresses. Change social bios, websites, email signatures, and digital materials to the new address. Reprint or replace QR codes that still point at the old provider.
- Keep a transition path. Your old Linktree URL and printed QR codes do not automatically redirect to Links2. Keep the old page available with a link to the new page, or separately configure a redirect if your Linktree plan supports it. Test it before cancelling that plan.
A provider redirect depends on keeping the relevant service available. Linktree domains · checked October 31, 2026
